Today was the day I finally broke down and couldn't resist the urge of Strawberry Danish any longer. "What is Strawberry Danish?", you may ask... well it's one of the most devine, yummy, delicious scents I have ever smelled in candle form. It's a strawberry, doughy, salty type of smell that is so unique in a candle and I have not seen it from anyone else. I've been hoarding the last little bit of my candle until I can place another order.. which will be August 1st (woohooo!).
Makeupbyem1ly on the message board melted this scent a few days in a row this week and is the reason I brought this scent back out. It originally did not make it into my plot for my next order, but now it is at the top of the list. Thanks a bunch! ;o)
Anyways, this scent is really worth checking out if you are interested in a unique bakery scent. I do not see myself ever being without it again. If you do not see yourself liking this scent, don't worry! Victoria has over 700 different scents you can choose from. WOW! I know that 700 scents can sound daunting and can overwhelm a lot of people (it did me at first), check out The Pouring Pot message board. Everyone on the board are awesome and willing to help out in any way. Stop by, you won't be disappointed!

A Late Night, Can't Sleep Breakdown Of My Favorite Scents The Past Few Months
I find it amazing how much hormones can mess with your system and throw you all out of whack. So I wanted to do a kind of "Preggers Loves" for my Candles By Victoria scents. I'm sure you will see a sort of pattern to the scents I like right now, because they all sort of go together in one way or another.
Favorites:
My number 1 right now which is shocking is Autumn Leaves. I liked it last year when it first came out but now when I smell it all I can do is say, "Mmmmmmm."
Bear Claws, Honey Spice Cake, Pumpkin Apple Cinnamon Bread, Vanilla After Dark, Marshmallow Campfire, Carrot Cake Orange Delight, Apple Cobbler, Pumpkin Chocolate, Pumpkin Pralines, Cajun Cornbread, and Apple Jack N Peel are favorite bakery scents.
Fruit Scents are few and far between at the moment... Cantaloupe, Blushing Peaches, and Apple Pomegranate. I love these but as of right now all I want to do with them is smell them on cold throw. I don't even want to warm these.
For House Blends I still love Sexy In Stilettos, Trick or Treat, and Tomahawk Memories.
Charlie Brown Christmas, Mistletoe, Peppermint Bark, Sweet Snow, Sugared Spruce and Snow Drift Berries round out my Holiday Scents.
Other scents I'm loving are Bergamot & Herbal Mint, Cleopatra's Closet, and Enchanted Forest.
I also came up with two create a scents that I instantly had to burn and try out.
-Autumn Leaves and Sugared Spruce which I plan on calling either Autumn Wreath or Holiday Wreath. This scent brings back a fond memory of the first holiday season my husband I were together and went to pick out our tree and wreath. This one is YUMMY.
-Bergamot & Herbal Mint and Peppermint Bark which I can happily call Andes Mints. This to me is the candy in candle form. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.
I still have many choices to choose from but I'm disliking the fact the my "Can't Live Without Them" from before I was pregnant will have to be pushed to the back for the next five months. Hello Dolly, Granny's Pie Crust, Caramel Apple, Spellbound, Monster Mash will sadly sit on the back of the shelf until I can whip them out and smell them again.
A lot of the scents I am loving are Fall/Winter Scents and warm cozy comforting bakery scents with very few exceptions.
I can't wait to place my next order so I can stock up on some of these favorites.
Hope yall enjoyed this list, I thought it was kind of different and interesting. Maybe now I catch a few hours of sleep before the little one gets up!

Upcoming Candles By Victoria Order!
Holy moly has it been a long time or what?!?! This year has been so hectic with so many ups and downs and quite a bit of heartache. Quick update.... I got married in January and went to Gatlinburg, TN for our honeymoon which was amazing... My daughter turned three *tear, tear*... a month after her birthday my husband's grandmother passed away which was very difficult. Soon after her passing, my husband and I both decided to quit smoking (yayyy!) and haven't picked up another cigarette in almost four months! A month after we quit we found out the our Danni girl is going to be a big sister! My due date is Jan. 10th, and hopefully (if baby cooperates) we'll find out the sex on August 6th. And this is just the high points....
Anyways, on to what this post is really about, CANDLES!! I have discovered that my nose has changed so much due to the pregnancy that a lot of my, "Can't live without" scents smell absolutely horrible. It was heartbreaking. The scents that I have been craving, lusting after, and obsessing over are fall/winter scents. Guess it couldn't be a better time of the year for this to happen. Because of this, I have a hefty wishlist of scents I would like to stock up on and I'm trying to be a good girl and wait until the beginning of August. We'll see what happens.
On to the list!:
8 oz candles:
apple cobbler* mistletoe* bear claws*
pumpkin pralines sugared spruce* marshmallow campfire*
autumn leaves* peppermint bark* vanilla after dark
trick or treat* winter snowflake cranberry brulee
apple cider* christmas cabin
orange clove christmas memories
pumpkin cider
spiced pumpkin chutney
Black Label Top Shelf:
Godfather
Alabama Slamma
22 oz tureens:
pumpkin apple cinnamon bread- orange/red glitter*
charlie brown christmas- gold/silver*
(*)- scents I have tried and absolutely love and would recommend for fall/winter
Wow, that was a lot of planning but my husband and daughter approve and helped sniff out the goodys. I will do a review once I receive that glorious box from the ups man.
What are some of yall's loves and must haves for the fall/winter seasons? I would love to hear yall's opinions!

I'm Dreaming of a... Highly Scented Holiday Season! Candles By Victoria Holiday Scent Review
I love this time of year, seeing my daughter get excited about Santa coming to visit, decorating the house, and baking lots of goodies to share with friends and family. But there's one thing I always have on hand during the holiday season and that's holiday scented candles! They put the final touch on the over all feel of the season and warms up my home nicely.
This is my first order of holiday scents and I do see at least one more order in my future to stock up on seasonal candles but this is what I have right now....
Charlie Brown Christmas: If there is one scent that I believe everyone should have this time of year, it would be this scent right here. The first thing I smell is a lovely mild cinnamon scent with zesty orange peel. Followed by a sweet sugary vanilla smell with clove. The bread note is something I cant quite smell but I'm sure it will come out when I melt it. The description says it has raspberry in it but I pick up an almost cranberry like smell instead. The deep red almost maroon color puts the final touch on this amazing scent. It's absolute perfect!
Sugared Spruce: This scent is the best Christmas tree smell I have come across yet. It's a sweetened pine smell and reminds me of my most favorite kind of Christmas tree, the Frasier Fir. When smelling this scent I get the wonderful image of going tree hunting with my fiancee and running my fingers through the needles of the trees. It's so realistic that I almost feel I can skip on the Christmas wreath and use this to scent my home with the scent of Christmas tree! It's very strong so be careful in small spaces.
Cookies for Santa: This scent is wonderful! I smell snicker doodle cookies for sure. It's a sweet sugar cookie smell with a dash of cinnamon. The cinnamon is not overpowering at all and in fact takes the back seat to sugar cookie smell. A wonderful bakery scent for this time of year. I can see this one being a medium throw but still very noticeable.
Christmas Tree: This was my free scent shot in my very first order. All I can really smell is pine sol cleaner. Maybe if I was to mix this with a sweeter scent it would be more bearable for me. But if I was to do that, I would just purchase Sugared Spruce instead! This is my least favorite holiday scent I have received.
Peppermint Bark: Ghiradelli Peppermint Bark Squares all the way! It's the perfect blend of peppermint and chocolate. The description for this names white chocolate which I do get when smell it but it almost smells like dark chocolate too. On first sniff, I picture Ghiradelli squares but when finishing up the sniff you get that almost dark chocolate smell which reminds me more of Snyder's Peppermint Chocolate Pretzel Sandwiches without the salty pretzel smell. Either way, it's a wonderful peppermint bark scented candle.
Christmas Buttered Rum: This to me smells like a very warm butter smell with a hint of sugared caramel. In other words a warm, sweet butter smell. It's very nice and is a great change from all of the spiced scents for this time of year. Reminds me of Werther's hard candy.
Holly Berry: I love this scent of cinnamon, clove, and oranges which is sweetened just a touch with vanilla. This is perfectly balanced and not overly cinnamon-y or spiced. Love this one a lot!
Mistletoe: This is very similar to Holly berry but has a lot more orange to it. The spices take a backseat to the citrus-y smell. Also a great scent. If you want more spice I would go with Holly berry. If you would rather have something more fruity and citrus-y Mistletoe would be a better way to go.
Sweet Snow: Very strong peppermint smell. At the very end you do get a vanilla smell which sweetens the peppermint and tones it down just a little bit. I love this and think it is perfect for not only Christmas but winter in general. I can't wait for it to snow to burn this one!
Snow Drift Berries: Wow! If you love fruity scents but don't want something tropical or summer smelling this is the way to go. There's no spice at all, just a strawberry and raspberry smell that seems almost "spritzed" with a light peppermint spray. At the very end, you do get a light pine smell, but it's extremely light and does not give this scent a cleaner smell at all. Amazing and so unique!
I love all of the scents I received in this Christmas order with the exception of Christmas Tree. If I had to pick only three to purchase again they would be Charlie Brown Christmas, Snow Drift Berries, and Sugared Spruce. I have a feeling that I may be trying out a create a scent of Charlie Brown Christmas with Sugared Spruce. I have a feeling that this would be the ultimate Christmas Eve scent to have lit while eating dinner and sipping on some wine or hot chocolate while watching A Christmas Story!
All of these scents, along with over 700 other scents, are available on Victoria's website, www.candlesbyvictoria.com. For more suggestions and reviews I would check out her message board, www.cbvictoria.proboards.com. The people are friendly and ready to help you find your perfect scent. Lazy Day Crock Pot Chili
Have you ever had one of those days when you know you have to cook but you really dont want to? This is a great recipe that is quick, easy, and great for fall and winter.
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef cooked and drained (I also rinse mine under hot water to remove any remaining fat or grease)
2- 14.5 oz cans kidney beans, light or dark, undrained
2- 28 oz cans diced tomatoes undrained
1 medium to large onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
2 packets of McCormick Chilli Seasoning or your choice
After cooking and draining ground beef, throw all of these ingredients into a crock pot and set on low. Cook for 6 to 8 hours and then serve! Could it get any easier? This is an all time favorite in my house and is also one that I grew up on too!
Top with shredded cheese or add hot sauce for a spicier chili. I prefer both of these!
Also, you can add a can of corn to the recipe. This tends to add a slightly sweet aspect to the chili which is nice when adding lots of hot sauce like me! ;o)
I also like to serve Cheddar Cheese and Jalapeno Cornbread with this meal....
1 box Jiffy Cornbead mix
Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Diced Jalapenos
Mix the Cornbread according to the directions on the box, and as much or as little of the cheese and jalapenos to your liking. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
Hope yall enjoy this recipe and let me know if yall want more like this! :oD

Desserts, Sweets, and Breakfast Goodies Never Smelled so Good. A Review of Bakery Scents by Candles by Victoria
Victoria's bakery scents are by far my most loved. They're unique, fun, realistic, and so good they are sure to put a smile on your face! With over 700 scents to choose from there is bound to be something for everyone... even in the bakery scents! So let's get started!
Hawaiian Hula Muffin: I have to admit, when I first received this candle, it smelled like the pineapple did not mesh well with the muffin scent. I decided to let it sit for awhile (so long in fact that I forgot I had it) and smell it again. I love this scent! It's a great one for spring and summer because of the pineapple. It reminds of a cake I bake... white cake soaked in pineapple juice and iced with whipped cream with pineapple chunks. A great sweet scent!
Bear Claws: One of the first ones I ever tried from Victoria! I smell a mild cinnamon with caramel and a bakery cake-like note. This is followed up by a very light raisin and nut scent. It has a great scent throw that lasts all day!
Peanut Butter Cookies: On cold throw, this one was not very impressive and seemed to have almost a play dough smell to it. But warm, it's absolutely awesome! Smells exactly like sweet peanut butter cookies right out of the oven. Great scent year round!
Bubbling Butterscotch Sundae: I have yet to burn this one but it smells fantastic! Extremely sweet butterscotch... perfection.
Brown Sugar Shortbread: When I first received this one, it almost smelled like nothing! After it has cured for about two weeks, it's very strong and I can not wait to burn it. The brown sugar scent is sweet and has a slight butteryness to it. The shortbread cookie smell adds to brown sugar's sweetness to give this scent a great sweet shortbread cookie smell with just a slight hint of maple.
Blueberry Cobbler: This scent has an extremely strong blueberry smell that is very sweet. So if you love blueberries, this one is definitely one you'll like. When smelling blueberry cobbler you get a background or bottom note of a crusty bakery note. It truly smells exactly like blueberry cobbler. Very strong scent thrower too. I would burn in a large room so it is not too overwhelming.
Pumpkin Frappuccino : I wanted to like this one more than I do. It's a good scent but not one of my loves. I smell pumpkin and coffee with cinnamon. Maybe if it was mixed with more of a creamy scent I would like it more and it may smell more like Starbuck's Pumpkin Frappuccino . Has a medium scent throw to me and would be great for fall.
Pumpkin Vanilla: A sweet pumpkin smell. I smell the vanilla first which almost overpowers the pumpkin but not exactly. The cinnamon in this is a red hot cinnamon but is very mild and accompanied with a light clove as well. A decent scent throw on this one.
Apricot Crumb Cake: I was on the fence about ordering this one so when I got it as my free scent shot I was very excited to try it. I love this one! It has a sweet juicy almost tart apricot fruit smell followed by a light sweet cake smell. The brown sugar almost gives it a coffee cake like smell without the cinnamon. Fantastic scent overall!
Marshmallow Campfire: A sweet creamy vanilla marshmallow smell that actually smells like it has been roasted. It does not have a burnt or "caught on fire" smell so don't get me wrong there. The "roasted" smell is very light but adds a lot of depth to the marshmallow scent. A great scent year round or when you have the urge to make smores or go camping!
Hello Dolly: my soon to be husband thought I was out of my mind the way I reacted to this candle. One of my favorites for sure! It has a rich chocolate fudge scent with sweet butterscotch and a very very light creamy coconut scent which, to me, doesn't really come out but makes it smell even sweeter and more decadent. A very strong scent thrower that will have you craving something sweet in a heartbeat!
Caramelized Pralines: A much loved scent by many, that has a strong scent throw. I smell a rich caramel first followed by a roasted nutty note. Another amazing scent.
Nutella: This one really does smell like Nutella! It's a little on the lighter side but you still get that amazing chocolate and hazelnut smell. Very nice!
Granny's Pie Crust: Oh my goodness! Another love of mine! I smell a rich flaky crust which is slightly sweet. Purdy good scent throw and this scent would be great for create a scents. I'd personally mix it with Hello Dolly for a decadent chocolate pie scent, or even Caramel Apple for a rich apple pie topped with caramel. Georgia Peach might also be a good one for a peach cobbler like smell.
Vanilla After Dark: If you love vanilla, this is a fantastic scent for you! It's not just a plain vanilla or a fake vanilla. It's vanilla with some added depth, sweet and the tiniest bit musky and woodsy. I love to light this in the bedroom very relaxing and homey.
Strawberry Danish: My husband to be fell in love with this one... I'm not quite sure about it yet but I haven't lit it either. It is very very sweet and the strawberry almost smells more jam like. It also has a very rich, buttery, salty bakery note. When I baked for the store I work at I used to bake all of the sweets. On cold throw this reminds me of the apple and cherry danish bites before they were actually baked.Very doughy. Hopefully when lit, it'll have more of a just out of the oven smell. I would imagine this has a very strong scent throw.
Pumpkin Pralines: A delicious pumpkin scent with no cinnamon but her carmalized pralines scent instead! I would definitely light this one during the fall season. The pumpkin is creamy and accented well by the caramel in the carmelized pralines. A delicious scent that is hard to resist!
The top bakery scents that I love and would suggest to everyone are Granny's Pie Crust, Hello Dolly, Vanilla After Dark, Pumpkin Pralines, Blueberry Cobbler, and Apricot Crumb Cake. My wish list for bakery scents is gigantic and growing all the time. Check these scents out and view Victoria's scent descriptions as well to see which ones you'd like.
